Yahoo Mail
Uncool. Totally uncool. Yahoo Mail’s interface is totally crappy. Now, I usually don’t go ranting about free online services, but this one really got on my nerves. Today I received a couple of emails with some phone camera pictures, each mail had about 7-8 of them. As YM prompted me that I have new mail I went on to see the pictures. Big-Mistake. Let’s see how many clicks do you need in order to view/download just one picture or any attachment for that matter (suppose we already logged in one way or another):
1. Click Inbox.
2. Click the appropriate email.
3. Click the file you want to view/download
4. (Wait for the online virus scan) Click “download attachment”.
Want to download the other pictures as well?
Click “Back”. Click the file. Click “download attachment”. Repeat.
Click. Click. Click. Click.
And now let’s suppose that for some reason your internet connection is fairly bad and you get a max of, say, 7KB/s. Need I say more? Yes. The page is also cluttered with unneeded buttons, ads (do I love ads, or what?), graphics, WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING?
Luckily though, I’m not stuck with Yahoo Mail, and there are better alternatives. Click Inbox, click email, download file (without the damn page refreshes!).
Ow, and I forgot to mention this line from Gmail “8 attachments — Download all attachments View all images”.

noah … dude …

“how would you make yahoo submit you 8 different attachments at the same time ?”
Simple, I forwarded my mail to Gmail
Multiple file download is available in Gmail (and AV scanning as well).
What I hate though, most webmail clients have the inability to forward multiple emails at once (i.e. like in a mail app such as tbird, sylpheed, etc)
