Legacies

One of the weirdest things went down today… A few days ago I was informed that a bunch of juniors from my ex-highschool are about to leave for the Netherlands. My teacher asked me - if possible - to talk to them and tell them ups and downs of going there, useful tips, stuff like that.

The fact is that I really loved remembering all the things I did there. I enjoyed speaking to those fellows. They are younger than I used to be at that time, and certainly less… open minded let’s say. I hope that my advices issued in an almost two hour presentantion :o) will be useful for them. They have a clear advantage over me and now I regret I didn’t get this kind of preparation before leaving. These are guys from “hell’s deep” but I’m happy they were willing to listen to me. Fortunately they will make out of this a bigger occasion for the ones to follow.

It felt really good hearing that Ruud asked for more students based on my service there. I feel I have done something for others. It feels good. Really.

The weird thing is that I enjoyed speaking in public. I enjoyed getting attention focused on me. I enjoyed testing them. I think it has begun. :)
